I've not even spent the night here but felt a review was in order. The house is truly beautifully restored to its period splendor with a lovely soft and gentle touch. The restoration includes period sash windows restored with double glazed window panes. I love it. There are little features all over the house that just remind you how much love the owners have applied to the home. Fabulous.
Brilliant bed and breakfast, Fabulous place to stay and hospitality is exceptional

An absolute gem of a B & B. Wonderful warm hospitality. Terrific room and facilities and a fantastic breakfast. Highly recommended. Its modern, spotless and right in the heart of the town. Simply superb. 10 out of 10 !
Stayed there for a night. The B & B was very good! The host was friendly and helpful. The room was ready 2h before the time expected. The location of the hotel is just outside the high street. The room was clean and charming with views over the hills. We had breakfast in the conservatory and it was really good. They also have great coffee. In overall, it's not expensive and a great experience, will definitely come back

Always excellent whenever we stay.
With a bit of difficulty, found our farm stay in Tavistock, Devon. It is a stunner, as the spaciousness & luxuriousness are right up there, it has a sweet cottage garden, & best of all, is a 16th Century Elizabethan longhouse, with Victorian wing added. Very rural. Woke to cows. Room accomodation very agreeable. Felt pampered. Great bathroom. Meandering old house, with formal dining room complete with impressive period furniture, huge farmhouse kitchen, & suntrap conservatory overlooking back garden. Old longbarn in partial use & partial dilapidation, pretty interesting. He looks after the farm; she looks after the guests (very well). She is also an enthusiastic gardener, so the setting is worth a wander. The two cats were farm cats, i.e. not house inhabitants, & not exactly pampered pets, either. I think they earned their keep around the barn. Overall, very comfortable indeed. The hostess was very conversable & welcoming.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
