WOW is all I can say from the moment I phoned to make an appointment and Tanya and Daphne kindly squeezed me in the same day!! to the moment I left with the most amazing eyebrows ever I was wowed so much so I am going back Sunday to have my lash line done and taking my friend with me as she wants my eyebrows so is having hers done too! You are both so kind and relaxing and I have never been happier with my brows wish I did it sooner! LOVE them a massive thank you will definitely be back again x x

Daphne and Tanya are a dedicated team. Daphne is exceptionally skillful at applying permanent cosmetic make-up. She is lovely, kind and takes time to ensure you get exactly the result you require. Tanya is always there at the end of the phone to help answer any queries or questions. I'm completely at ease having this treatment with Daphne.

I’ve been following the lovely Kirsty around for my wax for years and since she and John have gone into business, John has been cutting my hair. Highly recommend both of them in this fabulous salon where you can go to relax and have the treatment of your choice. It’s situated in the centre of Tavistock which a a beautiful market town nestled on the edge of Dartmoor.

I followed hair dresser John Worrall here from Exeter after he and his business partner set up this enterprise. It's a large salon with a fresh smart decor and up to date equipment (including Dyson hair dryers). The staff are extremely professional as well as really friendly. There is a great atmosphere here and a chance to watch the high street from the first floor without people staring in at you. I love this place.

Great place for classic Triumph parts and advice

Fantastic service today. Two new front tyres, which I didn't even notice one had a slit in, they also checked my tracking which we thought had gone but turns out it hadn't. Very friendly and helpful staff as I have no idea about cars other than how to drive one, I also had no change so they got me a drink as it was so hot! Such quick service as i told them I had a time limit before heading to work and they sorted it all within 45mins for me.

It sells some new fairtrade and seasonal products which can be nice and useful. The thing that annoys me with Oxfam is the way items are arranged by colour. It makes the place look chaotic and finding anything a chore to the point I generally don't bother. In my opinion arranging products by type is more logical since I don't have the time or inclination to browse the entire store.

Lots of original gifts at reasonable prices

A beautifully arranged shop with a wide array of wonderful gifts. It is a so much larger space than it first appears. There is something to fit all tastes and the friendly staff have no objections to you browsing. There is so much to take in that you will have to walk up and down a few times! The revolving globes were my favourite. Definately worth a visit if you are Tavistock bound.

Very helpful staff

My bike was damaged when I fell over unclipped on a steep hill on a Dartmoor back road when cycling on a long 2 day group ride. As I was unable to change into lower gears I had to get transported to the nearest bike shop in Tavistock in order to get back on the road. The shop owners saw at once what was wrong and were happy to look at it immediately. The damage was sorted in no time plus a few other quick adjustments were made to my bike set up including Di2. I was only charged £5 - cheap at twice this price. Great service from an experienced bike mechanic.

About 10m off the Devon Coast 2 Coast path (NCN 27) in Tavistock so very convenient if you need some assistance as I did. Martin was very busy with a bike build but managed to find time to sort my problem out and have us on our way again. Friendly & knowledgeable, thoroughly recommended.

Started going to this shop when I was in my 20s now in my 60s. Always had first class service in all aspects of purchases. Still being run by the same family for many many years. Great bunch of staff also Mr Towl himself. Great shop for all household equipment. I recommend this shop.

We are impressed! Parents just bought a washing machine from here, Indesit branded, took old one away, plumbed in the new one all within about 30 minutes. Amazing service. Same day in fact! Although I think we were lucky. They even had to lift over the top of a classic farmhouse table which was in the way which they made light work of! This, ladies and gentlemen is why you shop local! Why we and my parents would recommend Towls of Tavistock.

Harmony is a fabulous showroom of high quality lighting, lamps, furniture, mirrors, ornaments and gifts. There is a lovely range of Tiffany lamps. Lots of lovely things.

Absolutely amazing flowers, Kat is am amazing florist. She made me a beautiful hair comb for my big day yesterday and all the bouquets, corsages and buttonholes were just perfect.

Loved Creber's... Sadly it has closed down and leaves a massive gap in the Tavistock High Street. From the local newspaper "A POPULAR delicatessen, thought to be one of the oldest shops in Tavistock, has closed down." David

Great little shop! Has a good variety of cheeses and very friendly service. They'll let you try any of the chess before you buy and also have bread, crackers, etc. available as well. They even do cheese wedding "cakes" for those who are interested!

Very happy with the machine I bought. Sales staff kept me well updated and were all so helpful on the phone. I dealt with several gentleman and ladies on the phone and they were all so lovely- I especially enjoyed the hold music! Definitely worth giving these guys a go.

After speaking with 10+ uninspiring sales assistants in Jewellers around the South West about getting my engagement ring resized. I had almost given up. I finally came across John Baldwin Goldsmiths. From the moment I called everyone I spoke to was so helpful. Nothing was too much. When arriving to the goldsmiths we told what to expect and how much it would cost. My ring came back looking sparking and new. We were so happy that we ended up booking in for a valuation which we we told upfront how much it would cost. The jewellers it's self has some beautiful pieces with every stone you can imagine. We were fortunate enough to deal with James Baldwin who is excellent at what he does and on our second visit we met his father John who is also extremely passionate about all things jewellery too. This jewellers is a breath of fresh air. If you are looking for quality experts this is the jewellers for you.

Utmost attention in every way, As a first time customer I was made to feel welcome in both shops. The staff have enormous patience as I am a fickle person to please. I met the owner of whom is some midland character you cannot fail to be amused by but knows his trade. And as he says leave Europe to succeed. I think he will. Top marks to one and all!

We decided to go looking for a garden bench and already knew which direction we would go which took us over the river Tamar into Devon. Having visited a couple of 'outlets' we weren't particularly impressed by the products or the prices ! When we visited Morwellham Sheds & Garden Furniture in Tavistock we found exactly what we were after. The standard of the products here are outstanding ! Good solid, sturdy garden furniture very well made and very reasonable prices compared to what we had seen elsewhere. The bench we bought there and then was delivered the very next evening ! Excellent product and excellent service ! Highly recommended.

This is a first class pet store with great prices to match! Way better than the huge pet stores, primarily because Ron's Pet Supplies stocks lots of different goods, especially the dog bones etc. The staff are always friendly and willing to help, nothing is too much trouble and they also offer great advice. I highly recommend this store for all your pets needs!

Such a lovely shop to visit, in Tavistock for the day whilst staying in Devon for the weekend and we needed a new collar for our Chocolate Labrador. Its lovely to visit this shop and receive good advice, we enjoy being able to support independent retailers, the service and friendliness from the owners is wonderful and thats certainly the case here.

The staff in this shop excel at customer care, and the prices are competitive and the quality of the goods is very high. I popped in yesterday to buy a pair of running shoes, and the gentleman who assisted me really couldn't have been more knowledgeable or helpful. He was willing to talk me through the best shoes for my particular type of feet, and also encouraged me try on many different pairs and sizes at my leisure. At no time did I feel hurried or pressured in any way, in fact I was happy to buy two pairs of running shoes and am very impressed with the whole experience. The people who work here not only respect customers, but they really do care about customer needs and I highly recommend going there for all your sporting needs. Really cool to see independent shops like stationers still around. Has all sorts of pens, pencils and so on!

On first visit I found items I liked however if you're doing weekend shopping or looking for something specific chances are you won't find it there.

A large branch with a decent selection of products available. Queues were too large though.

Went here after a funeral and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Especially nice in the garden where we could sit and chill out in the sunshine. Bar was quite pricey but in line with what I'd expect to pay at a hotel like this and cheaper than hotels in Dartmoor
