Tavistock - What's On in and around Tavistock and Devon

So much fun packed into this intimate venue. Have only been for gigs (live music) and have always had fun. Free parking after 6pm which is helpful if travelling from afar. Staff friendly. Music hall great for being able to enjoy live music up close.

Excellent venue, really friendly. Parking is plentiful. Bar prices are sensible. Seating is available in the venue for certain gigs, though early booking is advisable.

Went here after a funeral and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Especially nice in the garden where we could sit and chill out in the sunshine. Bar was quite pricey but in line with what I'd expect to pay at a hotel like this and cheaper than hotels in Dartmoor

The Town Hall is a must to visit. It puts you back into the era it was designed for. Lavish velvet ceiling to floor curtains. Wood panelling and wrought iron hanging lights with flower detail. Beautifully kept. It also has a large Stage and dance Hall. Clean toilets. Well stocked and comfortable Bar area when required.

Multi functional town hall from fayres to weddings to dance classes...it does it all. Wheel chair accessible lift and wells stocked bar. Centrally located.

Just Ok. I was helped by the head teacher due to being hospitalised during my GCSE period a couple years ago but other than that, it's a bit of a hole. There are many students (particularly younger students) couldn't care less about their education so tend to make the learning environment much worse for everyone else. Additionally, there are a lot of gobby and arrogant children. Although these issues are probably common in most schools, it is something to consider. I spent 7 years of my life here and I've had very mixed views. Overall, I think it's OK. Not amazing, not terrible. Worked for me.
